2026 Donation Partner - Camp One Step
The Evan Joseph Gerstein Foundation is proud to announce a $75,000 donation to Camp One Step, including their Utah Ski Camp, a place where children and families affected by cancer can experience the joy and freedom of the mountains. This incredible program offers participants the chance to ski, connect, and create lasting memories in a safe, supportive environment surrounded by others who understand their journey.
We are especially excited about this new partnership because Evan’s love for skiing began early; at just six months old, he was already taking in the beauty of Utah’s snow-covered peaks. His passion for the mountains and his zest for adventure continue to inspire us, and we are happy to carry forward his spirit by helping other children discover that same sense of joy and wonder on the slopes.
Camp One Step provides free, year-round camp experiences for young people with cancer and their families, fostering joy, belonging, resilience, and lifelong friendships. Their mission is to ensure that a cancer diagnosis doesn’t define childhood; through camps like the Utah Ski Camp, they help children reclaim what cancer tries to take away, allowing them to laugh, play, and simply be kids again.
It’s our hope that this gift in Evan’s honor will help more children and families experience the transformative power of Camp One Step. By supporting this incredible community, we celebrate Evan’s adventurous spirit, bringing light, connection, and healing to those who need it most. 2025 Donation Partner - NPH Haiti
In 2025, the St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haiti reopened its refreshed and revitalized Oncology Department, the only pediatric oncology unit in the country. Thanks to your generous support and our donation of $71,000 this essential ward now offers a dramatically improved experience for children with cancer and their families.
Here’s what your support made possible:
Air-conditioning throughout the ward — vital for the integrity of chemotherapy and the comfort of patients.
New medical equipment, including monitors, infusion pumps, and medicine carts.
Refreshed, child-friendly rooms and murals designed to bring light and joy during long hospital stays.
Bathroom and bedroom renovations that offer dignity, hygiene, and a better quality of life for families who spend months by their child’s side.
This transformation means that every child who walks through the doors of St. Damien now receives care in an environment that’s not only medically sound, but also warm, clean, and comforting. Learn more at nph.org/haiti
